Grilled BBQ CHicken

Grilled BBQ Chicken

This classic dish is perfect for your next backyard barbecue or family gathering.

  • Total Time: 52 minutes to 8 hours 26 minutes (depending on marinating time)
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken in a large resealable plastic bag and pour in the BBQ sauce. Seal the bag and gently massage the sauce into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F or 200°C).
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess sauce.
  6. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Brush the chicken with additional BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor and caramelization.
  8. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
