- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides.
- Place the seasoned chicken in a large resealable plastic bag and pour in the BBQ sauce. Seal the bag and gently massage the sauce into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F or 200°C).
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess sauce.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Brush the chicken with additional BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor and caramelization.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
