Ingredients
6 hard-boiled eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip if you want a taste of the Midwest)
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
1 teaspoon garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Cayenne Pepper
Parsley or green onion (for pumpkin eggs)
Black olives (for spider eggs)
Instructions
Peel your hard-boiled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl.
Mix the egg yolks with the mayonnaise, pickles, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
To make them look like pumpkins: use a toothpick to draw lines from the center of the egg to the edges, mimicking the lines on a pumpkin. Place a small piece of a chive or green onion on top to act as the pumpkin’s stem. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper for a zing (or paprika).
For the spider eggs: Cut a black olive in half. Place one half in the center of the egg for the spider’s body. Then slice the other half into thin slices for the spider’s legs. Place 4 olive slices on each side of the body to create 8 legs. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper for extra spookiness (or paprika).
