Delicious Tuna Tartlets – Perfect for Brunch or Lunch

Tartlets with Egg Canned Tuna and Onion

Are you looking for an easy yet impressive appetizer or light meal? These tuna tartlets are sure to satisfy! Flaky puff pastry shells are filled with a tasty tuna salad mixture for a mouthwatering combination.

These mini tartlets are great for brunches, lunches, or even as a light dinner. The prep work is quick and easy, with most of the time spent baking the pastry shells. Once those are cooled, assembly is a breeze.

Tartlet Tips and Tricks

Puff pastry is the key to creating those delicate, flaky shells for the filling. Be sure to thoroughly thaw the pastry before using. And don’t skip the egg wash on top – it gives the shells a beautiful golden-brown color and shiny glazed appearance.

Feel free to use water-packed or oil-packed tuna in the salad filling. Just make sure to drain it well. Canned tuna can sometimes be salty, so taste the mixture before adding additional salt.

Chopped parsley adds a pop of color and freshness as the finishing touch. But any fresh herb like dill, chives or tarragon would also be delicious.

Making Appetizer Magic

These individual tartlets are great for serving at parties and gatherings. Arrange them elegantly on a platter for a visually appealing presentation.

Or serve them at home for a weekend brunch alongside fresh fruit, yogurt, and coffee or juice. They’re also perfect for a ladies’ luncheon or a light summer dinner.

No matter how you serve them, these tuna tartlets will disappear quickly! The combination of crunchy pastry, protein-packed tuna, and tangy onion is irresistible.
