Sand Plum Jam Recipe

Summer’s Bounty Sand Plum Preserve

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sand plums
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pit the sand plums.
  2. In a large pot, add sand plums, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 60 minutes or until it reaches the desired consistency.
  5. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving a 1/4-inch headspace.
  6. Seal the jars and process them in a water bath canner for 10 minutes.
