Homesteader
I’m Lindsey — the writer, homesteader, and somewhat accidental chicken wrangler behind Waddle and Cluck homesteading blog. This blog started as a way to slow down, dig in, and remember that joy is often found in small, imperfect things — like backyard eggs or a muddy harvest.
If you have a question, an idea, or something you think we should be writing about, send it over. Most of what ends up here starts with someone doing the work and noticing something worth sharing.
For general questions, feedback, press, or anything else:
I read everything. It may take a bit to respond, but it does get seen.
We’re open to guest posts, but they have to fit.
This isn’t a place for recycled content or surface-level advice. We’re looking for people who actually do the work. Raising animals, growing food, cooking from scratch, fixing things as they break, and figuring it out as they go.
A few things that matter:
Write like a real person, not a content machine
Keep it practical and specific
Skip fluff and big statements
Share what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d do differently
If you have an idea, send a short pitch along with a couple writing samples to:
We do test products, but only the ones that make sense here.
Anything featured has been used in real conditions. That means in the garden, in the coop, or in the kitchen. If it doesn’t hold up, it doesn’t get written about.
We’re open to:
Tools and equipment
Kitchen gear and pantry staples
Garden supplies
Feed, bedding, and animal care products
Not interested in scripted reviews or one-off promos.
If you want something considered, send details to:
Include what it is, how it’s used, and why it’s worth testing.
